This year we’ve moved back to 12 hour shifts for extended discomfort and fatigue and we’ve got some shared shifts – but don’t be fooled! They’re not easier. Both drivers will be on camera the entire time, even if they’re not driving. All times listed in Pacific Standard Time.

One day, robots may rise and conquer the world. And just like us, they’ll probably want to kick back every now and then and play a video game. Hopefully one more interesting than Desert Bus, but we’ll see.

Or dance. That’s a popular option for robotic characters too.

Robots are a common theme on Alex’s tumblr, so we’re challenging the community to create their best gamer robot. The winner will receive this lot of Xbox One items.

Send your submissions to [email protected] with “Gamer Robot” in the subject line. We’ll accept submissions until 3:54 AM PST. Also, be sure to include with your submission the name or handle you’d like us to use on air should your submission win.

Guess whose back? That’s right Ken “Value Added” Steacy from Ken Steacy Publishing, of course.

For those of you new to Desert Bus Ken Steacy has been supporting us since the beginning. He is a member of the Canadian Comic Book Creator’s Hall of Fame, won a Shuster Award, and is Alex’s dad! He is best known for his work on NOW comics Astro Boy and Comico’s Jonny Quest.

Every year with Ken has been full of surprises and delight and we’re sure this year will be no different. We are thankful for Ken’s continued wonderful support.

You’ll notice that some shifts are shared. Both drivers will be present for the entirety of the shift. There are also 4 shorter shifts on Sunday to give some of our crew who have other Desert Bus work to complete during the run an opportunity to drive.
