A photo of the artwork featured in this donation drive. It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this: a beautiful handcrafted artwork inspired by The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

After countless hours of dedicated practice, the power of Din’s Fire was harnessed and used to recreate the iconic stained glass window from the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on wood. This breathtaking woodburning depicts the brave Hero of Winds and clever Princess Zelda. Only the most stalwart Zelda fan will rise up and lay claim to this piece of art.

Donate $10.15 (or multiples thereof) for a chance to win this prize. We’ll run this donation drive until 8:40pm PST.

With the switch over to Nightwatch, we’ve switched over into our second set of silent auctions that are now live on desertbus.org. Check them out…

A picture of a handcrafted cushion, featuring the t-shirt designs from prior Desert Bus for Hope events.

DesArt Bus For Hope Cushion

Featuring the fabulous art of LRR and Jon Kay this cushion holds the entire t-shirt based history of Desert Bus for hope!

Each of the nine images has been carefully recreated, some by hand, to keep their original details. The extra colors included match the colors of the shirts the designs were originally printed on.

Mox Amber Pendant

Now your Mox Amber can be a worn powerstone. A legendary mana rock from the halls of Dominaria realised. This light but powerful artifact weighs in at 17 grams and costs nothing to cast. And speaking of cast, this Mox is made of fiberglass resin — moulded off of an actual stone and tinted, well… amber. Comes with a handy leather safekeeping pouch as seen on the card art!

To bid on these silent auctions, make sure you’ve created a Donor Account, then go to the item’s respective page to submit a bid. Silent auctions run for eight hours, so these will wrap up at 2am PST.

A picture of the team celebrating $2 million lifetime. It’s time for the first Creative Challenge of this year’s Desert Bus for Hope! For those new to this year’s event, our drivers will throw out from time to time a challenge to our community for your submissions of artwork, poetry, prose, photography, or other stuff – check the blog for details on each challenge and submission instructions. With that out of the way…

Inspired by Andrew’s memory of hitting $2 million lifetime (pictured) and other memories shared by the room, Ashton and Andrew have challenged the community to draw or submit poetry/prose of their favorite Desert Bus for Hope memory. We’ve been doing this for 12 years now, so share the best moment that’s still in your heart today.

Send your submission to [email protected] with the subject line “Desert Bus Memories“. If submitting a drawing, please submit your image as a JPG or PNG, either as an attachment or a link that we can easily access. If submitting a text entry, please submit your poetry/prose as a TXT file or a link we can easily access. Also please let us know what name we should use for you should we show your submission on-air. The winner of this challenge will win a Desert Bus 2018 t-shirt!

We’ll run this creative challenge until 10:00pm PST.
