We’ve been inspired by bread this fine Zeta shift. And we hope you’ve gotten inspired too, because our art challenge this evening is to take classic works of art, and update them with bread! Whether it be Persistence of Memory with melting loaves, or The Son of Man with a hotdog bun instead of an apple, we want to see your creations!

If you would like to enter, here’s the fine print:
– Make sure to include bread in some way, but get as wild as you want with it!
– All entries should be in .jpg format for images, or a youtube link if you’ve made a video
– Please send entries to [email protected], or [email protected]
– Make sure your subject line is “Zeta Judge The Bread”. We want to make sure that we can find your entries in our inbox!
– Make sure that in your entry, you include a name you would like to be called on screen. If your entry gets chosen, we want to shout you out!

But now you’re asking yourself what’s in it for you. Well, not just the fuzzy and warm feeling of a job well done, but also a Desert Bus 2020 t-shirt!

Last but not yeast, you will also receive a Desert Bus 2020 Dbloon!

Shepherding us through through the night, Driver Bocko keeps this Zeta bus on the road. He was chosen for the bus by the fates. And by the fact that he was the only one around with a driver cap. Can’t drive a bus without a driver cap. There’s a law about that.

What we don’t know about Bocko is his appearance. Thus far, it has been unknown to us. It is up to you to reveal that mystery. For this challenge, we would like your interpretation of our intrepid driver. It can be while he is driving the bus, earning his class 4 commercial vehicle license, or whatever you feel needs to be shared about the backstory of Bocko.

Please send your art in .jpg form to [email protected]. When you send it in, please use the subject line “Bocko or Bust“, and include what you would like your display name to be, should you win. This challenge will run until 5am PST.

But what will you win, you ask?
Capture4The winner for this challenge will win one of or wonderful Desert Bus for Hope t-shirts, made by Fangamer!

But wait, there’s more! You will also receive one of this year’s DBloons!

These cannot be purchased, and are only available to prize and contest winners.

A picture of the team celebrating $2 million lifetime. It’s time for the first Creative Challenge of this year’s Desert Bus for Hope! For those new to this year’s event, our drivers will throw out from time to time a challenge to our community for your submissions of artwork, poetry, prose, photography, or other stuff – check the blog for details on each challenge and submission instructions. With that out of the way…

Inspired by Andrew’s memory of hitting $2 million lifetime (pictured) and other memories shared by the room, Ashton and Andrew have challenged the community to draw or submit poetry/prose of their favorite Desert Bus for Hope memory. We’ve been doing this for 12 years now, so share the best moment that’s still in your heart today.

Send your submission to [email protected] with the subject line “Desert Bus Memories“. If submitting a drawing, please submit your image as a JPG or PNG, either as an attachment or a link that we can easily access. If submitting a text entry, please submit your poetry/prose as a TXT file or a link we can easily access. Also please let us know what name we should use for you should we show your submission on-air. The winner of this challenge will win a Desert Bus 2018 t-shirt!

We’ll run this creative challenge until 10:00pm PST.
