The first art challenge of Night Watch 2020 is LIVE!

For this challenge, the team decided they would like to see your interpretations of a Shrine to Belopa, created in whatever medium you desire (for the Belopa-uninitiated, please see below).

Send your creations as a JPEG (no TIFFs, GIFs, or MP4s about it!) to [email protected] with the subject line “Belopa Shrine Art Challenge“ until 11:00PM PST!

Be sure to include the name you’d like to go by should we show your submission on air. The winner of this challenge will get a Desert Bus for Hope 2020 t-shirt AND a DBLoon!

Based off of the saga art for the card, “Elspeth Conquers Death”, this intricate mosaic of 5,622 glass tiles on acrylic sheeting backing comes in three panels with a total size of 89 x 42 cm, or 35 x 16 inches (roughly the area of most of an unsleeved Commander deck laid 10 cards down and 7 across).

Comes with mounting hardware and adhesive should any tiles come loose.

In recognition of the Desert Bus crews’ humanitarian efforts, in keeping with the best traditions of the federation, Starfleet has decided to award one lucky donator a Starfleet field commission. Your assignment is to lead your crew to donate as much as (responsibly) possible to benefit the lives of unfortunate children. To aid in the pursuit of this mission you will be provided with this standard issue equipment.

This set of 1:1 scale replicas accurately recreate the look of these props from the 80’s-90’s era of Star Trek and are perfect as part of a cosplay, or as display pieces. The Largest measures 91cm x 30cm x 7cm and is 3D Printed in a mix of PLA plastic and photopolymer resin (over 308 hours of printing time). Several items include functioning LEDs to imitate the look of these props on the show. It is shipped in a hardened rifle case decorated to look like a standard issue Starfleet cargo crate, so it should reach you safely and without falling into a spatial anomaly along the way!

The Pet Shift… err… Alpha Flight needs fun giveaways for your furry little friends. How does this fluffy Totoro Cube for your cats work?

Totoro’s belly is canonically a great place to take a nap, and now you can offer that opportunity to your cat(s)! This cat cube is made from fleece and plush, pet-rated foam and decorated to look like the lovable Totoro from Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbor Totoro. Exterior details include Totoro’s arms, face, and detachable ears (fastened with snaps) and the interior mimics Totoro’s white belly, complete with grey fur tufts.

The interior measures 17 inches on all sides, giving a large cat or a whole litter of kittens plenty of room to curl up. Spot cleaning is recommended for small stains, but the cube can be machine washed (it may need some reshaping afterwards).
