Jeremy has challenged everyone to illustrate the origin story of Jags Necropoles, clone of beloved Desert Bus mallard Roscoe P. Jangles.

The winner will receive a deluxe edition copy of Limbo, which comes with a stylish case, a sticker and 7 art postcards, and 3D glasses for special viewing of them.

So, read through Jags story, copied below, and give us your best illustration.

Like any round trip to Vegas, Roscoe expected that the end would be met with the very same hydraulic whoosh to which he had  become accustomed. What he did not plan on was being met with a tiny face much like his own. In the distance, rumbling from a storm caused the sky to growl. The tiny eyes blinked.

 “Who are you?”

Unflinching, emotionless, the tiny bill parted long enough to respond. “From the abyss of your subconscious, the will of the one they call Creepy Doll, and from a tiny bit of DNA taken from a dropped feather, I come. I am your clone, Roscoe. I am you. I am Jags Necropoles.”

Thunder roared around them. The storm had arrived.

Get to it people! The contest ends at 9pm!

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, many of our prize listings have now gone live on the website. If you hadn’t noticed this yet, you’re going to want to stampede off to drool over all the pretty things now. Go ahead, we understand. We’ll wait.

————-

What did we tell you? SO many pretty things! We have roughly 300 prize lots this year to auction and giveaway. Not all of them are visible quite yet, this is just the start. There are more listings to come in the next few days, so keep coming back to the website to check for newly added items.

Schedules for live and silent auctions are also up, so feel free to start marking your calendars with the auction times you don’t want to miss. However, please note that until Desert Bus begins next Saturday, auction times are subject to change, so we recommend that you check back on Saturday morning to see whether any of the auctions you want to see or bid on have moved.

As before, in addition to our exciting live and silent auctions, we’ll be doing giveaways for donation drives, art challenges, writing contests and more, so stay tuned during the run for opportunities to win all kinds of amazing stuff! Our social media team also has a whole pile of sweet download codes for games and musical albums – they’ll be giving those away via our Twitter and Facebook feeds and the live chat.

While our Prize Mistress Tally has been hard at work in the prize mines, she has not been going it alone. We’d like to say a big thank you to Heather Dery, Jess Bell and Mannie Ross for coming in on afternoons, evenings and weekends over the past month to help Tally get the prize mines sorted and ready for Desert Bus 7. These ladies have been an incredible help in getting our prize listings ready for your viewing pleasure!

And a special thank you also to Lori Miller, who made us a fantastic prize mines hard hat. Safety first! Or at least second – the children are always first at Desert Bus, after all.

So we just got off the phone with Sean Baptiste, Community Manager for Harmonix, makers of Rockband 2, and they have offered a copy of the Rockband 2 bundle for us to raffle off. The rules are as follows:

For every $20 donated you get one ballot. At the end of the drive we will hold a raffle for the rockband, based on all the ballots we’ve collected. All ballots are retroactive, so you’re not out of luck if you’ve already donated. I will be combining donations by name, as well, so if you’ve done two 10$ donations, that will count as 20. If you’ve donated 15, donate 5 more and that’ll count as 20. If you’ve donated 50, 10 more will take you to 60 (and you’ll get 3 ballots). You get the drift. We can do either a x360 or a PS3 version of the game, so as long as you’ve got one of the two you’re golden. Best of luck, everyone!

*NOTE* A couple people have been asking wether this contest is open to more people than just those who live within North America (Canada and US, for anyone who might not know that) We have emailed Sean to find out.
