Make a fashion statement at your local game store or competition with a sweeping cape made magic capeentirely from cards and thread. All the cards used in its construction are blue, making this cape a perfect fit for control players or people happy to see blue cards made unplayable.

Despite it’s material, this cape can be comfortably worn for hours with no paper cuts. It folds conveniently flat for travel and comes with additional fasteners if the neckline needs to be tightened. This cape is not impervious to water, so keep it dry and don’t try to run it through the wash.

Donate $5.93 (or multiples thereof) for a chance to win this prize. We’ll run this donation drive until 2:00am PST.

Ken. Value. Added. Steacy. Power. Hour. Did we really need to say anything else? It’s been an exciting evening of live auctions and giveaways. Here’s what you’ve missed…

James… uhh… made a driver intro… I guess?

What is the dob? Are you thinking of the dab? It’s not the dab. That’s something else. The dob is a unique move, created by James. But those that want to learn the dob might need some help. And so…

db2018_james_dob_loop2

James has challenged the community to come up with instructions on how to do “The Dob.” Feel free to use whichever medium or interpretation makes sense to you… IKEA instructions, verbal instructions, et cetera. So long as it’s something we can review (see below), it’s fair game! But, get them in quick, because this challenge is going to run quick.

Send your creations to [email protected] with the subject line “Dob“. You can submit in one of the following styles/formats:

  • JPG, PNG, or GIF image.
  • TXT file, or text content included in the email.
  • A link to a video on YouTube.

Be sure to include the name you’d like to go by if we show your submission on-air. The winner of this challenge will win a Desert Bus for Hope 2018 T-Shirt!

We’ll run this creative challenge until 1:00am PST.

Ken Steacy Power Hour is at an end, bringing to a close a night of FIVE giveaways and FIVE live auctions. Thanks to all of you, this evening’s festivities raised $32,042.98! As with Ken’s prize lots from prior years, and with the permission of Child’s Play, half of that will go to Child’s Play Charity and half will go to supporting the Desert Bus organizing team.

We mentioned this on-air, but this is Ken’s last year visiting us for a Ken Steacy Power Hour (but rest assured we’ll see him again in the future). In recognition of all the support Ken’s given to Desert Bus for Hope over the years, we presented him with a wrench trophy.

Thank you Ken!

Ken Steacy PublishingWe’re delighted to welcome back Ken “Value Added” Steacy, from Ken Steacy Publishing, to Desert Bus 2018.

If you’re new to Desert Bus, Ken Steacy has been supporting us for practically forever. He is a member of the Canadian Comic Book Creator’s Hall of Fame, won a Shuster Award, and he’s Alex’s dad!

His nickname of “Value Added” came about because of all the wonderful contributions and time he has spent with us, and for the children on Desert Bus. Every year with Ken has been full of surprises and delight and we’re sure this year will be no different.

We thank Ken Steacy Publishing for their continued support of Desert Bus for Hope.
