Jimmy Wong is an actor, musician, and podcaster known across multiple platforms across the internet. Best known for this role as the lovable best friend Ted in Video Game High School, Jimmy has since garnered a large fan base from his musical talent on his YouTube channel and his work at Rocket Jump Studios.
His most recent work as a host of the extremely popular Magic: The Gathering podcast The Command Zone has led to a surge of popularity amongst the Magic community. The Command Zone is a weekly podcast focused on all happenings of the multiplayer MtG format known as Commander. Jimmy is now a staple of the MtG community, appearing in numerous Wizards of the Coast Events; chief among them being the Magic Community Cup.

What’s your favorite and/or current commanders, and why?
If money was no object, what commander deck would you build? What not commander deck?
I’m a big fan of the Command Zone, but I currently haven’t gotten into Commander because I’m fairly new to Magic and only have a card pool that pretty much just goes back to Fate Reforged. How would you recommend new players with limited card availability get into the format?
Video Game High School has had some great fictitious games. If any game could actually exist, what game would you love to see?
I was a huge fan of your character in VGHS, especially with the more emotionally difficult episodes in season 3. What was it like trying to take a very upbeat character into those very low and serious situations? Which you pulled off magnificently.
Howsit! How do you feel about the new Legendary Cube on MtGo now that the cards are all spoiled and it is about to begin? What strategy do you want to try first?
I am working on completing the commander color gauntlet (1 of each color combination except 4 color – I’m waiting for new Daxos to arrive to make my BW enchantments). My question is a two-parter: Have you done this? And what are your favourite commanders for each color combination?
