Let me say first that I’ve been a big fan for a long time. I’ve watched your videos on a regular basis ever since I saw your Psychonauts review, and have on multiple occasions purchased games based on the few recommendations you’ve made (Bastion, Braid, Arkham Asylum etc.).
Last year I saw the Rebecca Mayes video posted June of last year called “Love Song for Yahtzee”. I watched it to the end and honestly couldn’t tell whether she wanted to go out with you or stab you in the throat in the screwdriver. All I was thinking was “Christ, he must really be shitting his pants by now”.
I saw it again recently, and I started wondering: How the hell did you even respond to a love-hate song that sounded so psychotic? I mean, I know it was meant as a joke but still, seeing something like that and knowing it was meant for you must have felt…awkward. Did you ever talk to her about it afterwards? Did anything come of it? Have you filed a restraining order or something?
I know this is something relatively trivial, but if you’d see fit to satisfy my curiosity I’d appreciate it. Keep the awesome videos coming, and looking forward to seeing whatever you’re reviewing this week.
