Tifa Robles: Tifa Robles is the founder & organizer of the Lady Planeswalkers Society (LPS), a welcoming, friendly environment to learn and play Magic: The Gathering regardless of gender, skill level, or anything else. The organization also teaches Magic and participates in panels at many conventions. Tifa has also worked in the gaming industry, fighting for diversity and inclusion, for 6 years.
Mike Robles: You might remember Mike from such companies as Wizards of the Coast, Microsoft, and Lone Shark Games. When he’s not managing communities he’s playing lots of video games, streaming, and trying to keep his YouTube pages relevant.
Xander Robles: Xander is a professional cuddle monster and a very expressive young man. He loves his parents, laughing during the most appropriate moments, being held upright, and high contrasting colors. He does not like falling asleep.

My gaming group is pretty good but I want to make the environment at my LGS more open and inviting (miniature gaming, not MtG). How can I go about his and are there any resources you could recommend to help with this.

Do you have any advice for someone who wants to become a community manager in the tech industry?
Hi Mike and Tifa! I have a question partly about the Magic community and partly about large communities in general. I find it’s relatively easy for fan artists to get recognition from community leaders because it takes about 10 seconds to look at a sweet piece of art and say “that’s a sweet piece of art,” as opposed to fan writers whose work requires like half an hour to even start. Not gonna lie, as someone with zero drawing talent, sometimes that hurts. Is this something you as a community leader see as a problem? Or is it just a fact of your limited time?
I live and play MtG in the Caribbean, and on my island there is just one LGS which is the hardest thing to get to if you don’t live nearby (and has a very uncomfortable player atmosphere tbh). I want to introduce the game to more people in my immediate area, and don’t know how to start. What would you recommend?
