We’re auctioning off original, signed Star Wars art tonight at 8:00 pm PST – this is a bunch of what’s in there, but not EVERYTHING.
All of it is signed by artist Ken Steacy. It should also be mentioned that George Lucas liked this one so much, that he bought the original.
Holy crap.
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Octo
Octo who?
Octopimp, it’s his….his fury will be large.
Oh he won’t win it.
i’m confused how are you selling the original when george lucas has bought it.
By “Original” I believe they are referencing the fact that it is an original design made by the artist. Not that it is in fact THE original piece of artwork itself up for grabs.
Poorly worded, maybe, but not intended to be misleading I’m sure.
I want. I will bid. I will not win.
They never mentioned selling the original. This blog post says, and I quote, “It should also be mentioned that George Lucas liked this one so much, that he bought the original.” Ken doesn’t even have a print. Just a ton of other incredibly rare stuff relating to that image.
This is a great site. Good sparkling interface and very informative articles. I will be coming back soon, thanks for the great article. Of course, you might also find some apartment listings in other traditional settings as well – maybe on a grocery store bulletin board.
