We are proud to announce that Teller of Penn & Teller is calling in!
They have been performing together since the late 1970’s combining comedy and magic. Currently they are headlining at The Rio in Las Vegas – Penn serving as the orator and Teller the silent partner who communicates through mime. They have had multiple successful TV shows, the best known being Penn & Teller: Bullshit! and Penn & Teller: Fool Us (if you haven’t seen them yet you are missing out).

Paul and Storm (Paul Sabourin and Greg “Storm” DiCostanzo) are known internationally and across the Internet for their original comedy music (often with a “nerd-ish” bent). In addition to their own live performances, they are co-founders of the geek-oriented variety show w00tstock, along with Wil Wheaton and Adam Savage, and co-produce JoCo Cruise Crazy. The duo’s original webseries musical, “LearningTown“, debuted on YouTube’s Geek & Sundry channel in January 2013. Also in 2013, their song “Another Irish Drinking Song” was featured in the hit movie Despicable Me 2, and in July had their guitar smashed on stage by George R. R. Martin (and deserved it).

The evening began with a ton of rad auctions, giveaways, and contests. Grant Imahara called in, geeked out about Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and told us how Jamie from Mythbusters eats hamburgers. Alex’s shift was a sleepover theme, so those of us who had been told dressed up in pajamas.
We hit $150,000 in donations this year at 8:53! It was amazing.
We had a very special guest stop by…
Alex and Kathleen told some spoopy stories, but pissed off Grumpy Dad Beej. We got pizza delivered, which was AMAZING, and it did not have a tentacle on it (suck it, Morgan!)
We got #DB007 trending on Twitter. I put out the call for Cheevo icons, which WE STILL NEED, so check the blog post and send your icons to [email protected]!
At about 3:00, Alex hit us all in the feels with a writing challenge calling for inspiring stories of hardship, recovery, and emotional support from our viewers. We got an overwhelming amount of incredibly personal, wonderful stories, which made me cry and made us all realize that we are not alone in our struggles. <3
Then the horse mask got put on top of the auction light.
Alex hosted a wonderful Derpline, we had more giveaways and a Minecraft Creeper Memorial art challenge, and I realized that I’d been blogging for eleven hours and brain no work.
