This year, we’ve asked our community to share what Desert Bus for Hope and Child’s Play means to them, and what impact they’ve had on their lives. Here is a selection of these community submissions…
#dbtome We have watched as a family for at least 5 years. On this #WorldDiabetesDay I am thankful for DB and Child's Play reaching Portland hospitals and more to support families who learn their child's life changing diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes (like our family did a year ago).

I’ve loved LRR & Desert Bus since 07, but in 2016 I personally experienced the work Child’s Play does. During a particularly rough week of chemo, a nurse offered me a break with a donated PS4. I can’t imagine how important that is for kids going through worse. Thank you. #DBToMe

Every year, I support @DesertBus For Hope and @CPCharity. Once upon a time, I WAS that kid — sidelined by a dozens of surgeries during childhood, riding it out with help from the games and toys in children's hospitals. That respite kept me going. Now, I pay it forward. #DBToMe

.@DesertBus raising money for @CPCharity is important to me as someone who spent over two months in hospital as a four year old. It is also important due to all the friends I have met watching and helping out including with the @DB_VST #DBToMe #DB2020

Saw my little brother stand up post-op with his IV pole & walk down the hospital hallway to play original Super Mario Bros in 1988. I believe in the healing (and motivating!) power of games. #DBToMe
