Bill Amend is the award-winning cartoonist behind Foxtrot, a widely-circulated slice-of-life strip that’s been running for 25 years and that you undoubtedly remember from the days when newspapers were a thing. Now updating on Sundays only, Bill has more than 30 books to his name, including the newly released Jasontron: 2012.

A lot of people agree that the Newspaper industry is on the wane, but the Newspaper comic is it’s own definite style of comic. How do you think the move fro analog to digital is affecting and will affect Newspaper style comics, and will the whole thing fall apart?
Have you dealt with editors, or whatever equivalent in Newspaper biz, requesting rewrites for material/references that they deemed ‘too nerdy’ or ‘too obscure’? If so, any examples?
