Jonathan Coulton is a geek artist and performer responsible for such oeuvres as Code Monkey, Still Alive, and Want You Gone. Currently the house musician for NPR’s Ask Me Another, Jonathan has just released an original Christmas album, One Christmas at a Time, and will be touring the US later this month.

During the call we’ll auction off a surprise mystery thing! So mysterious even we don’t know what it is yet!

JoCo (as we like to call him) will be calling in on Tuesday at 11:00 AM PST, 2:00 PM EST, 7:00 PM GMT. Questions and cogitations should be left in the comment section.

  5. JoCo,

The crew interviewing you has, after a long time operating just fun, managed to make a living doing goofy creative work online. You have too, while acknowledging how much the business model is changing under your feet. Can we get some fun discussion on the future of making money as creative (and nerdy) people in the digital age? I know your stances but I would love to here you discuss it with the LRR team.

  11. Dr. JoCo:

When writing Still Alive and Want You Gone, how were you informed of the storyline? Both songs mainly consist of plot points in the games, so I was wondering if they gave you a draft of the storyline, or let you play through the games before writing the songs, or anything else.
