For our second art challenge of Zeta, we asked you to design a Desert Bus shift themed dream date, and the outfit we'd need to wear on it. And we had so many options to go steady with. Eventually, though, we decided on exactly which date was best for us!

Thank you Wizard for this fantastic art of our Zeta roller skating date! Keep an eye out for an email from our prize team and update your donor profile!

We have one more art challenge for Zeta shift this year, so if you haven't won, don't lose hope! Just keep an eye out, and sharpen your colored pencils!

Sponsor Thank You: Jagasilk

We would like to thank one of our long-time supporters here at Desert Bus for Hope, JagaSilk

JagaSilk was created (and is operated and owned) by Miyuki and Jared Nyberg. The adventure began in the summer of 2005, making deliveries from the public transit system.

"Importing maccha began with a little knowledge and a kernel of an idea. As the owners of JagaSilk, we have since been able to visit the tea garden where we import our organic maccha from, have our very own car (lol) and have had the opportunity to work with some very inspiring individuals and places. We hope to remain connected to our roots here in Victoria, BC, while exploring the world. We shall see where this journey takes us."

Jared and JagaSilk have been long time friends of the bus, visiting and gracing us with his maccha knowledge, gifting us the tea and caffeine to keep us going, and donating another amazing prize pack. Thank you again Jared and the entire team behind JagaSilk!

Art Contest: Desert Bus Dream Date

Last night on Zeta, we played Mystery Date, and seemed to always get the dud. You know what doesn't have a dud? Desert Bus for Hope! We were inspired by our time playing for tonight's art challenge!

We'd like to see what shift of your choice would look like as a dream date, but that's not all. You can't go on your date if you aren't ready, so also include what outfit pieces you'd need to go out!

To enter, we're asking for an image of your dream date, and all three outfit pieces you need to go on that date. Send your entry by 4:30am PST to contest@desertbus.org to enter, and make sure it's in png, jpg, gif, or tif format. PLEASE NOTE: AI entries will be disqualified.

The winner will be announced on the stream and on the blog, and will receive a Desert Bus for Hope loot box!

Night Watch is eepy and ready to settle down into a long hold of the Downward Log pose. Before we say nini, let's indulge in a little retrospection.

We maintained our perfect D average!

We faced each other in glorious combat!

We antagonized our chakras!

We creamed!

We got in touch with our medieval side!

And we had a great time doing it. See you tomorrow, Nightlings!

Day in and day out, as we do whatever the heck it is we've been doing, superstar photographer Kolin Toney is documenting every moment. They've just uploaded a fresh batch of photos for your ocular pleasure, which you can (and should!) peruse at photos.desertbus.org. Thank you, Kolin, for capturing our work just as thoroughly as you have captured our hearts!

That is a question we have never thought to ask ourselves, because the answer is so obvious. Of course we're gonna bussin' Bey!

Here's how the bracket is looking as we go into night 2:

Tonight's match-ups:

  • Max vs. Brett
  • Jordan vs. Adzy
  • Andrew vs. Matt
  • Logan vs. Dan

And because we can't all be winners, here's the current state of our losers' bracket:

Creative Challenge: -tube us!

Hi, artists of Desert Bus! We're having a bit of an identity crisis. Can you help us with that?

For tonight's creative challenge, we're looking for a new synthetic life form to represent Night Watch. We would like for this creation to take the form of a pngtuber avatar. To lubricate your creative process, we already have a name in mind:

The Night Watcher.

Once you've decided what that means to you, we'll need a set of four avatar images, in transparent .png format:

  • Mouth open
  • Mouth closed
  • Blinking, mouth closed
  • Blinking, mouth open

Email your submission to contests@desertbus.org, with the subject line "The Night Watcher", by 10:30 pm PST. Tonight's winner will receive a coveted Desert Bus Loot Box. Happy -tubing!

We're baaa-aaack!

Gif of Jordan Hopkins rotating in place with a dismayed look on his face. Dezi laughs in the background.

Everyone loves Jordan so much that we've decided to keep him around for another night, despite his objectively wrong opinions about professional hockey. We can fix him.

In the meantime, while we wait for Jordan's reconditioning to take hold, let us entertain you! On the docket tonight, we've got:

  • BUSTalk
  • Night 2 of the Night Watch Beyblade International
  • Incoming Game
  • Will It Cream?
  • some kind of creative challenge (stay tuned to find out what we have in mind!)
  • ... and PRIZES! Prizes galore!
