Silent Auction: Celtic Style Laser Engraved King Slate
Winner: Maxite for $2,450.00
Forged in the ancient seas around 500 million years ago, and then uplifted and metamorphosed 400 million years ago, this slate featuring a Celtic-flavoured design of King (from The Owl House) can be yours today!
This slate was found resting on the hillside above the former quarry town of Bethesda in North Wales, a few miles from the Eryri (eh-ruh-ree) / Snowdonia National Park.
Following on the momentum of last year's submission, I wanted to explore the concept of "King on Slate" further by looking into Celtic design.

I'm a Welsh artist living in North Wales, and I draw a lot of inspiration from the landscape and the media I consume. I’m fond of expressing myself through various materials, such as oil paint, watercolours, copper, digital designs, or any other medium I can access. My work is an opportunity to share what excites me with others.
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to learn how to use maker space equipment, and now I use lasers to explore ideas which would otherwise be barred from me if I used a traditional approach.
