Warcraft. Warcraft never changes.
Since the opening of the Dark Portal, when Orcs first discovered the world of Azeroth and the human kingdom of Stormwind, blood has been spilled in the name of everything: from power to land to simple Bloodlust.
In the year 597 of the King's Calendar, after four years of war, the destructive menace of the old Horde was defeated. The armies pushed back through the Dark Portal, and the survivors rounded up into camps.
But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of conflict. Instead, the victory was simply the prologue to another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeeded in destroying the Horde - but Warcraft, Warcraft never changes.
Sixteen years later a new Horde arises, seeking to carve out a new free existence away from their human captors. A deadly plague spreads in the northern Kingdom of Lordaeron. A mysterious prophet warns of an oncoming calamity. These trials will bear heroes the likes the world has never seen before, and with them create villains equally outmatched in history. This is the Third War for Azeroth.
To commemorate the deeds of the famed heroes and villains of the third war, these six stained glass panels and two banners were created. They feature the likenesses of Thrall, Warchief of the Horde, Lady Jaina Proudmore of Kul Tiras, Prince Arthas Menethil of Lordaeron (future Lich King), Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider of Silvermoon, Priestess of the Moon Tyrande Whisperwind, and Illidan Stormrage the Betrayer. The two banners feature the symbols of the two major resultant factions, the new Horde and the Alliance of Stormwind.
Each panel is 8x10 inches and is about 3/4 of an inch deep. They were laser etched onto prefab pine canvases, colored in watercolor, and sealed in four layers of gloss polyurethane-acrylic varnish. Clean with a lightly damp cloth only.
The line art was created by hand tracing art from the WoW TCG and Hearthstone. Art by Glenn Rane, Arthur Gimaldinov, James Ryman, Wei Wang, and Alex Horley Orlandelli. Warcraft inspired fonts made by Feyawen.
