First off, welcome! No doubt you’ve followed a link from one of the many places that linked us, like PA, Kotaku, Joystiq, or one of the multitude of other sites that have shown us their support. To bring you up to speed, we are loadingreadyrun.com, a sketch comedy group based out of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Every year, (well, every year since last year,) we put on this gaming marathon for Child’s Play, that requires us to play the world’s most boring video game “Desert Bus” for as long as you, the viewers, keep donating to buy hours. Each hour costs a little bit more than the last, though. Last year’s drive went 108 hours long, and raised $22,805. We’re hoping to blow past that this year, and we’re on track to do it.

We have guest drivers and callers this year, a bunch of prize packs, and a raffle for a copy of rock band 2 that was donted to us by Harmonix themselves. Stay tuned in you wouldn’t want to miss anything!

Thanks for your support, hope you’ll stick around!

Could it be, 16,000!!!??!?!?

Morgan challenged the chatroom to show us their best “Thizz” face, which he described as “a face expressing that you’ve just farted, and are disgusted by the smell, and at the same time, really proud of it.”

Can't Stop the Rock...

So we just got off the phone with Sean Baptiste, Community Manager for Harmonix, makers of Rockband 2, and they have offered a copy of the Rockband 2 bundle for us to raffle off. The rules are as follows:

For every $20 donated you get one ballot. At the end of the drive we will hold a raffle for the rockband, based on all the ballots we’ve collected. All ballots are retroactive, so you’re not out of luck if you’ve already donated. I will be combining donations by name, as well, so if you’ve done two 10$ donations, that will count as 20. If you’ve donated 15, donate 5 more and that’ll count as 20. If you’ve donated 50, 10 more will take you to 60 (and you’ll get 3 ballots). You get the drift. We can do either a x360 or a PS3 version of the game, so as long as you’ve got one of the two you’re golden. Best of luck, everyone!

*NOTE* A couple people have been asking wether this contest is open to more people than just those who live within North America (Canada and US, for anyone who might not know that) We have emailed Sean to find out.
