Product Review

Today for our product review we had KAPOWIE!

A totally legit punching bag and set of gloves that....sorta fit people's hands.

We had lots of fun taking turns punching it, and....slapping each other in a call for a duel??

But then ANDRE had to go and destroy our poor boy 😭

But we worked with it and did the best we could, and honestly? I think we had lots of fun with him.

So thank you, Kapowie, and we will miss you. He definitely gets a rating of UB!

Moment of Silence

We here at Desert Bus are pausing to observe a moment of silence in honour of those who died serving their country in wars and in peacekeeping efforts, and to commemorate Remembrance Week.

Remembrance Week is a time to respect, reflect and remember. It is a time to honour the fallen, reflect on the impact of armed conflict, and pay tribute to those who have served and continue to serve our country.

If you would like to learn more about Canada's Remembrance Week, check out this link, and if you're willing, join us in our time to recognize the courage and sacrifice of those who work to keep us safe.

Morning Silent Auctions Check-In

We roll again with even more prizes for you to bid on! Ending at 10am PST today, we've got a selection for you...

First we have a Celtic Style Laser Engraved Slate of King from The Owl House. Forged in the ancient seas around 500 million years ago, and then uplifted and metamorphosed 400 million years ago, this slate featuring a Celtic-flavoured design of King can be yours today! This slate was found resting on the hillside above the former quarry town of Bethesda in North Wales, a few miles from the Eryri (eh-ruh-ree) / Snowdonia National Park.

And then we also have a Eeveelutions Magnet Set made with acrylic yarn, plastic canvas, and a magnet on the back using a continental stitch for a clean backing. Do you like evolving your pokemon? Do you like raising your Pokémon to shape what they evolve into? Have we got a prize for you! A full set of Eeveelutions featuring Eevee and all it's evolutions for your fridge or other magnet accepting surfaces (Porygon drives, and other hard drives not included - don't put magnets on those)

Again both of these end at 10am PST, so get over there if you want a chance at them.

Next we have the two silent auctions that are starting at 10am PST and end at 6pm PST!

First is this set of handmade watercolor paints inspired by the shifts and shenanigans of Desert Bus for Hope. Included in this set are 12 half pans (with magnets) of handmade professional quality watercolor paints made using lightfast pigments, all nestled in a tin and protected by a rainbow Spoopifer. The Spoopifer sticker on the tin is based on a hand painted version of him with colors from this set.

And last but not least we will have G’raha Tia's Woven Scarf. Get ready for an intercontinental adventure with this hand woven scarf! Made from a sturdy blend of acrylics and natural wool, this 78 ilm (that's 6.5 feet or 95 Norwegian kroner stacked end to end) scarf is long, tied secure with a braided cord and 3D printed custom beads (original 3D files provided by Dangerous Ladies). It's designed after G'raha Tia's trusty scarf from the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy 14 whose extended free trial meme will not fit in the character limit. Hand wash with gentle detergent and hang dry (do remove the decorative cord first!).

Thanks Fernwood Coffee For Fueling Our Mornings!

Fernwood Coffee has been with us for many years, keeping us going into the wee hours of the morning and basically just all day long. Whether it be beans or their fancy canned root beer-coffee, we wouldn't be nearly as functional without them.

Founded in 2007, on Vancouver Island, Fernwood is a result of many journeys off the beaten path, carefully roasted by obsessive coffee professionals. Journeys that bring you coffee from the far corners of the world, high elevations and independent farms. A true testament to the ways of the Pacific Northwest adventure seekers.

Good gear makes all the difference when you’re out in the wild. Good jacket. Good wheels. Good coffee. They make you feel comfortable wherever you are, taking you further down the path, wherever it may lead.

So wherever you travel: a mountain, the coast or a city, our coffee adds a drop of luxury & comfort to your adventure.

e had SO many amazing entries for our art challenge. Turns out, you all did so much at Camp Zeta. We know we had fun, but seems you all had a blast. It took a lot of time and work, but we finally picked our winner. But first, our two second place entries. They were both great, and we couldn't decide. Don't @ us.
