We Had a Dawn Good Time

We started our day with the news that Cloudflare was down, causing some of our images to... struggle.

A giveaway preview pops up, but the image doesn't load. The Dawn Guard crew groans and laughs.

And if that weren't enough, we soon got invaded by Zeta! They're all animals, ANIMALS I tell ya!

Four Zeta shift members dressed as animals dance in front of Coffee Pong Referee Ashton.

The Zeta-mals challenged us to a game of coffee pong with special Zeta rules. It felt like they were tipping things in their favor, but James fought nobly uphill...

Slow-mo: James tosses a pinball at a stack of multiple coffee cups that have been piled together. It arcs perfectly to land in the middle cup.

Only to be barely outstripped by Zeta's grace under fire.

Each side of the coffee pong table has only one cup remaining. David neatly tosses the ball into the final cup on Dawnguard's side. James deflates with disappointment as the spectators applaud.

Fortunately for our egos, Zeta were not the only guests this day. We had many benevolent visitors as well, like Crochet Kate!

A crochet version of Kate, held by someone off-screen, dances and waves her arms.

And Nelson, who crossed the streams (literally) from Loading Ready Run to visit the Bus.

Nelson dances and the rainbow lights start to flash.

We learned fun facts about each other and traded cool handshakes.

Nelson shows Soraya the "salmon" handshake, slapping his way up her arm like a leaping salmon. In return, she teaches him the "Prince of Persia" fist bump, where their fists explode apart and then reverse time back together.

So really, even with images being broken and our hard-fought loss to Zeta, things aren't so bad. There's always some Dawn Good News to look forward to!

Liz puts the finishing touches on a revision to the Dawn Guard banner, turning it into the logo from Dawn Good News with some well-executed construction paper cut outs.

And so we yield the stage to Alpha Flight, as the stream goes on! And on and on, just like Emily's scarf...

Emily pulls the Desert Bus scarf that she wrapped around Trisha's waist as Trisha twirls to unspool it.

And thank you again to the winner of our Coat of Arms art contest, Isperia! The happy ghosts will live on forever with us.

From everyone at Dawn Guard, we appreciate you for joining us, and we will see you tomorrow!
