  7. On the one hand, yay! I’ve been hoping for a Saturday start since that means no dinking around with a half day (or whole day) of vacation on Friday. That really simplifies my planning.

    On the other hand, this is going to make the closing hours painful. A 10 AM Pacific time means a 1 PM Eastern start. That makes 6.5 days (156 hours) run to 1 AM Eastern Saturday, 158 hours (matching DB8) run to 3 AM eastern… and hopefully there will be more proportional growth. And of course the hour of post-clock ACK. So I’d better plan on being awake to 7 AM or more if it’s a very good year. Yeeeeeeeg.

    On the other other hand, I guess this is super friendly to our European friends. Hmm. Noontime central europe emergent auctions?

    Still, some year it would be nice if the planning worked backwards from the end – set out on the journey early in the morning like a good bus trip should.

  11. OMG OMG Desert Bus is coming up really fast

    I have been getting really hyped about this – hope that i get to watch both the opening and the closing this year

    Beej’s auctioning of the Magic Cards set is still one of the funniest from last year and Alex’s speech at the 2 Mil mark still makes me weep

  13. Watched DBfH for the first time last November (Got a couple friends interested in watching it as well). Sad thing is, I actually remember reading the articles in certain video game magazines about the original Desert Bus game back in the mid-90’s, even though it was never “officially” released. We have a hospital about 30 minutes away that’s part of the Child’s Play network, so I’m glad to hear about what you guys are doing. :)
