Ernie Cline is a novellist and screenwriter who you may know best as the writer of the film ‘Fanboys’, released in 2009. In addition to his scriptwriting, Ernie has been named chamion of the Austin Poetry Slam on two seperate occasions and has recently published  a novel by the name of ‘Ready Player One’.

Ernie will be calling in at 11:00AM, so tune in and see what he has to say!

  8. Both Ready Player One and Neal Stephenson’s Reamde (REAM-de, not a typo) came out around the same time. Both dealt with using virtual worlds in replacement to real world actions other than gaming. (Teaching in RPO, airport security lines in Reamde)

    Do you think we as a society are ready for virtual worlds to blur into reality large scale like this, or does it just make real good fiction?
