Live Auction: Katamari Damacy Wall Clock
Winner: Gravity Pike for $5,000.00
"We thought today would be a good day for rolling."
- The King of All Cosmos
Twenty-one years ago the universe was blessed with a game called Katamari Damacy where we learned to roll, to love, and to repair the night sky. Now this weird and wonderful gem is honored in a one-of-a-kind wall clock.
At the center turns the iconic Katamari, rolled by the tiny and hardworking Prince. The hour hand is the Royal Rainbow which transports the Prince to Earth, and Earth itself floats in space as the minute hand. In the background is a faithful reproduction of the exact night sky that shone over Tuscon, AZ on April 1st, 1995 - the original intended release date of Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors.
Made of maple and myrtle woods, art board, and EVA foam, this clock is meticulously handcrafted and sealed to protect against black holes and other interstellar hazards. The clock measures 14"/355mm across and 1.5"/40mm deep including hands and is powered by 1 AA battery. Care instructions are included, along with a labeled star map.
