LRR Lace Scarf in turquoise

If you’ve been watching Desert Bus for the past few years, you’ll no doubt be familiar with Chemistring and the amazing work she does with, well, string. Her beautifully intricate design works the LoadingReadyRun logo repeatedly but subtly into the scarf which is soft to the touch, and surprisingly warm for something so lacey. Chemistring says, “I have had this yarn for several years, and kept trying to make it into a pair of socks with a snowflake motif. No matter what I did, the pattern/project would go terribly, horribly wrong before I could knit more than a couple of inches. I actually started to refer to the yarn as cursed. Eventually I decided to knit the cursed yarn into a LRR lace scarf instead…and once I quit trying to make it into socks, the yarn behaved beautifully. Clearly, this yarn had a plan for its LRR-y fate and was not willing to compromise. Final project is now curse-free!”

The scarf measures approximately 148 cm (58″) in length and 25 cm (10″) wide after blocking.

Materials: Louet Gems yarn (100% superwash wool) in Aqua.
