She is capable of standing on her own and has a jointed neck that allows her head to rotate. She is made from an original pattern, created by crafter Lavendar Extract through much trial and error. Rainbow Dash's eyes and cutie mark are also, noteably, 100% hand embroidered. (She will, in fact, be the last hand embroidered plushie this crafter makes, as they take far too much time to complete.) We're sure you'll agree that these amigurumi Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are fiercely adorable. Look at their little shells, and their little masks! Squeeee! Crafter Sarah Mendiola has loved TMNT (who doesn't?!) ever since she first watched the original animated series as a kid. The groundwork for this set of turtles happened a year ago, when she first made a Raphael doll for a friend. This scarf was born mostly out of crafter Dawn Friesen's inability to get good tension on multicolor stranded knitting. It turns out that it's much easier to get even stitches in multicolor Tunisian crochet, and has the added bonus of being faster than knitting (for her, at least). If you don't understand what all that means, we offer you our interpretation of it: Dawn has magic powers, and she uses them to create out-of-this-world stuff.
