Portal holds a special place in the heart of crafter Melissa Franks, as it was the first video game she ever played, and remains one of her favourites. She says these pillows were the most difficult thing she has ever made, but also turned out the best. She hopes the pillows will be enjoyed by someone who loves the game as much as she does. They are soft, huggable, and certainly not a lie.

Crafter Melissa says when she was first introduced to Desert Bus for Hope, her friend showed her a little Cthulhu plushie doll that was part of the Craft-a-long. That was the moment Melissa knew she had to get involved in this charity drive. This little fellow was an excuse for her to help the children and make something adorable... and, y'know, honor the elder gods.

Octopuses are clever, resourceful, graceful, playful and, in this particular case, shiny. Crafter Ryan Revilock says this critter was a fun sculptural experiment. The glass, which comes in rods, is heated using a torch, then wrangled into shape. Once the figure was formed, itrested at 1050 degrees fahrenheit to let the glass relax, or anneal. The result: perfectly cooked octopus. However, we recommend not trying to eat this one. The octopus is approximately 4 across and 4 inches tall.

This wonderful ornament commemorates the crazy weirdness that is Desert Bus, with a trio of adorable (yet terrifying) Creepy Dolls dangling in a row from the Desert Bus logo. You could use it to adorn a Christmas tree (imagine the fun you'll have explaining that ornament to friends and family!), a rearview mirror, a window or any place that needs a little extra something. As with the original 1066+ page trilogy, insanity was the inspiration for these books. Creator Elomin Sha figured that no child with caring, responsible parents with would ever get to experience the questionable joys and certain pains of the original trilogy, so he decided to create a version that children of all ages could enjoy. Dawn, a longtime Craft-Along participant, has had the idea for this scarf since before Desert Bus 5, but says that designing the pattern always seemed a bit daunting. This year she got the pattern sorted out and the scarf went from idea to reality.
