Partly because we’re all very, very tired. But also because it’s astounding. Keep it coming everyone!

We’re having a lot of fun interacting with everyone on the IRC chat, so definitely log in if you haven’t. Also, we’ve been receiving additional donations in exchange for the drivers and the pit crew doing impressive and/or embarrassing things, so that’s always fun.

Thanks to Mike H, who had our back when we forgot to screenshot 1337 miles. Yay, Mike!

We have to keep making new ones because you’re all so awesome.

HUGE thanks to everyone who’s brought/given us food. Dave for the pizza, Michael for the chocolate, Bruce for the soup, and of course Teller, who bought us a complete Subway sandwich platter! It means a lot you guys!

This is too much for us guys, you have made this more incredible for us that we had hoped. We’ve raised $1000 more than our goal, and we haven’t even earned 1 point yet. This is one of the best and most meaningful things we’ve ever been involved in.

It’s also totally awesome. Seriously, this is hella rad. Yes. I said hella. It’s late and we’re tired.

When we started this project, we chose $5000 as an arbitrary goal that seemed like the upper limit of would be in the realm of possibility. Well here we are, just under 2.5 hours and not only have we reached $5000 but the donations show no signs of slacking off. You guys are truly amazing.

And don’t worry, just because our goal has been reached doesn’t mean we are going to stop. Keep the donations coming, and we are going to keep right on busing.

Specifically the creators of Desert Bus, Penn & Teller, and their friend Eddie Gorodetsky, who have donated or have commited to donating a combined $1500. This is becoming everything we were hoping for.

Penn & Teller mentioned specifically the late Barry Marx, an executive producer for the game who worked on Desert Bus. We’d like to say that anyone who had any involvment in this game is clearly awesome, and obviously Barry Marx was no exception. Thanks.

Because it’s been mere hours since the last post, and we’ve cleared $3000. This is amazing, everyone!

The webcam feeds and chat should be live pretty soon, keep watching!

Only 5 more hours to go and we’ve already cleared $2000. You people are amazing!
It’s a full 3 days for the drivers now!

Don’t forget, starting a little before 6:00PM PST, we’ll be broadcasting 2 LIVE webcam feeds, and an IRC chat, so you play along and talk to the drivers and pit crew.

Well ladies and gentelmen today is the day. DESERT BUS FOR HOPE kicks off in less than 10 hours. Just wanted to quickly thank everyone that has donated thus far. And remember it is not to late to contribute. We play until the donations stop!
Just want to send a HUGE thanks to the guys over at Penny Arcade for the link they gave us this morning. So welcome everyone from PA, check out what we are up to. And hey, if you were planning on donating just straight cash to Child’s Play anyways. Why not do it here
PS: Something I don’t think we have mentioned. The total donations to the right of the page is not updated live as the donations come in. So don’t fear if you donate some money and it doesn’t show up right away.
