Our Friend Sean Baptiste, community manager from Harmonix will be calling in around 3:00 pm. His company makes Rock Band, and surely you have questions for him. Personally, I want to know how long ’til we get Pinkerton for DLC.
Post your questions in the comments for this post!

Is there any Country song-lists in the future of Rockband?
That is the only reason I haven’t bought it… I don’t know other kinds of music. *shrugs*

Hi there. How do I get my favorite band in rockband? in particular, I would like BT in the game he was in Frequency and think you may already have the connections to do that.

do you guys have a rivalry with the guys who make guitar hero?

I’ve heard plenty of people request Stairway to Heaven. Any plans for that song?
Comment by Beryllium/Kevin B. — November 29, 2008 @ 1:51 pm
I just have to say that I’m a Harmonix fanboi for the most part.
At the end of next year is it probable that Rock Band will have over 1000 songs available?
How long does it generally take to produce a single song for DLC from the time the song is started to be made to the time when it’s available for download?
Is it possible that the “solo tour” mode could appear in Rock Band 2 via a patch?

Question: Have you ever listened to anything by Machinae Supremacy?
(I may very-well miss the call, so I would personally appreciate if it gets recorded or transcribed. I’m a big Rock Band fan.)

Is a Journey DLC pack in the works?
I like the freestyle mode for the drums in RB2, and the ability to pull in your own songs for Lips. Is there any chance that in a future Rock Band game or patch, you could add a mode that allows for all four instruments in freestyle?
Comment by Espiox — November 29, 2008 @ 1:53 pm
Oh, and are you at liberty to say anything about Harmonix’ next game?

Dear Sean
Do you have any figures of how well Jonathan Coulton’s song Skullcrusher Mountain sold, and are there any plans to include more of his music?

Why can’t I find Rockband 2 for Wii?
Comment by Adam — November 29, 2008 @ 2:12 pm
I agree with Jer’s comment about Pinkerton. Bring on the Weezer!

How do you feel about Guitar Hero 4 expanding to include the instruments that were previously exclusive to Rock Band, and how do you feel about Guitar Hero in general since you went on to make Rock Band.
Comment by foxtrot_MGS — November 29, 2008 @ 2:15 pm
What are the odds of getting a Blue Oyster Cult DLC pack for the game?
What about a Creedence Clearwater Revival pack? My friends and I would love to play “Travelin’ Band” and “It Came Out of the Sky.”
Comment by MisterArkham — November 29, 2008 @ 2:18 pm
I guess as an extension to the first comment… how to you choose what music to include? I know I haven’t bought Guitar Hero because the song lists have, for the most part, been music I don’t like or am not familiar with, and I feel like part of the experience is playing music you like. How do determine who you’re going to target with the music you include?
(I like Classical Music, Old Jazz Standards, Etc. “Guitar” Hero might be hard for those songs…)
Also have you considered a Guitar Hero: Desert Bus edition? The only song would be the sound of a bus engine, and it would be 6 hours long. It would sell like hotcakes. Hotcakes!
Comment by AlexanderDitto — November 29, 2008 @ 2:18 pm
Is there any chance of ever getting any Minibosses tracks as DLC?
Also, what is your opinion on all the other music games being released now and encrouching in your territory? (Such as rock revolution and the severall others I can’t currently remember)
Comment by Iced Inferno — November 29, 2008 @ 2:20 pm
What took you a whole year to release rock band to pal territories and why is the bonus kit US only?
Comment by AndyTheSkanker — November 29, 2008 @ 2:32 pm
With the competition being pretty fierce between Rock Band and Guitar Hero, what do you have planned that will bring something new to the table?
If you’re able to tell us, are there any exciting new features that RB fans can look forward to in future releases?
As a veteran guitar player (both real guitar and on guitar hero) I really enjoy the games! You guys did a great job in creating a compelling game.

We’ll we get Bat Country from A7X?
Comment by Alexmetallik — November 29, 2008 @ 3:41 pm
It’s probably too late to ask, but here goes:
Will we ever see avatars that can play guitar/drums and vocals simultaneously? GH:WT had Jimi Hendrix do lead vocals and lead guitar at the same time, so I’m just wondering if there any plans to include these “singing guitarists” or “singing drummers” (I want to make an authentic Phil Collins!) in any future Rock Band iterations.

I know Paul McCartney and Ringo are involved with Rock Band: The Beatles (not actually a rock band game but whatever) to some degree, but exactly how deep in it are they? Also, are they fun guys to work with? Do they both play expert?
More importantly, how have the bands who’s labels sent you alternate masters felt about it. I know The Cab or whoever was in the pack with She’s a Handsome Woman said they thought giving out the wrong master with an alternate verse was cool, but how (if at all) did the killers, Between the Buried and Me, and any other bands in a similar position respond?
Why hasn’t harmonix gone after more bands from the 1960s? At least half a dozen single years have more songs then the entire decade, and Cream, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, Pink Floyd, The Kinks (recently featured in a DISNEY GAME!), Janis Joplin, the Doors, the Animals, the Yardbirds, the Monkees, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Rolling Stones and a hundred others can’t all be hostile to the genre/have unusable masters. Are there plans to release any 1960s packs eventually, or even talk about addressing this ridiculous imbalance?
Any chance for a re-edited version of Who Are You that includes the climax of the song? “I know there’s a place you walk, where love falls from the trees. . .” :,(

How did the chinese democracy song Shackler’s Revenge end up in rock band? Any plans for classic GNR?
Comment by Sidd Masand — November 29, 2008 @ 10:13 pm
Most importantly: When is the Wii version of Rock Band 2 coming out?
Not as important but still very, very important: Anything new you can tell us about next year’s Beatles game?
Not in the least bit important at all: Any plans to add a Desert Bus minigame to Rock Band, so as to complete the touring band experience? Perhaps expand on it with a sequel entitled “Long Flight”?
