The day has arrived!

Posted by: James

Well ladies and gentelmen today is the day. DESERT BUS FOR HOPE kicks off in less than 10 hours. Just wanted to quickly thank everyone that has donated thus far. And remember it is not to late to contribute. We play until the donations stop!

Just want to send a HUGE thanks to the guys over at Penny Arcade for the link they gave us this morning. So welcome everyone from PA, check out what we are up to. And hey, if you were planning on donating just straight cash to Child’s Play anyways. Why not do it here :P

PS: Something I don’t think we have mentioned. The total donations to the right of the page is not updated live as the donations come in. So don’t fear if you donate some money and it doesn’t show up right away.

  1. Are you absolutely sure you want to thank PA for the plug? Because they have in effect just sealed your DOOM. Or is it more of a nervous, knees-trembling “Gee… thanks… guys…”?
    Good luck!

  3. Good luck guys! I donated some money, since it’s such a good cause, and since I’ve met all you guys before (Geoff’s brother). Looking forward to hearing the horror stories!

  5. Did you guys notify Penn and Teller? You could get some ridiculous publicity on top of the already ridiculous PA publicity.

  6. I will try and send in a donation if I can get my parents to let me (they don’t like sending money over the internet, they don’t trust anyone)

Any chance of a live chat?

  10. As archivists of this HISTORIC event are you MUST be keeping some video of this trip! The first hour was the best reality tv that’s been broadcast for years!
When Paul’s mum called me this morning flipped out about hearing from Penn’s wife, Emily, that Penn was going to call in, I left instructions that she should suggest a tape should be rolling in camera to bag the action. But did you listen? No… Lost for posterity!

How bout loading the crew camera to catch highlights. Like say Hilary Clinton calls in to offer $5000 for Paul to shave those whisker off his chin. HIT THE RECORD BUTTON!

I hope you’ll a least keep a highlight log for those who are tuning in over the weekend…

Take care…. Have you seen THEY SHOOT HORSES DON’t THEY? These marathon things can end badly…
